The attacker was able to mint tokens due to an issue with the DMC smart contract.
But rather than mint tokens and sell them on PancakeSwap, the attacker just minted them to the LP pool, which unbalanced the BNB/DMC ratio.
The root cause was due to backdoor, accidently left by the dev team in PROD environment from the original test/dev environment as the contract was originally being developed.
